Cody Gomora
Trial-Tested Criminal Defense.
Built From the Inside Out.
If you’ve been charged with a crime, you’re not just facing a legal problem—you’re facing the power of the government.
You need someone who understands how that system works…
because he’s been on every side of it.
I’m Cody Gomora.
I’ve enforced the law.
I’ve prosecuted it.
Now I defend people against it.
A Perspective Most Lawyers Don’t Have
Before becoming a criminal defense attorney, I served as a police officer in Arlington, Texas—working real cases, making arrests, and learning firsthand how investigations are built.
After that, I worked as a prosecutor—reviewing cases, preparing cases for trial, and seeing how the State tries to secure convictions and plea bargains.
Today, I use that experience to defend individuals accused of crimes across North Texas.
That means when I look at your case, I’m not guessing what the police did…
I know what they did.
I know what they missed.
And I know where the case can break.
Most criminal defense attorneys only see one side of the system.
I’ve seen all of them.
That gives you a strategic advantage in partnering with me on your case:
I understand how officers are trained to think and testify
I know how prosecutors evaluate cases and weaknesses
I recognize when procedures weren’t followed
I identify where reasonable doubt actually lives
Because in criminal defense, the difference is in the details.
Why That Matters For Your Case
Where It Started — And Why I Fight
I grew up in North Texas without much.
My path into the legal system didn’t start in a courtroom—it started with a desire to serve.
That led me to law enforcement.
That led me into prosecution.
But ultimately, it led me here—because I saw something most people never see—the criminal justice system gets it wrong.
And when it does, the consequences fall on real people and their families.
That’s why I do this work.
Not for volume.
Not for quick deals.
But to stand between my client and the full weight of the government.
